Information on how to enter and the prize(s) form part of these terms and conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, the entrant must have an active Rocket Mobile connection. The entrant must refer a new customer to Rocket Mobile, the new customer must activate their account, and the entry form must be filled out, within the promo period (see DATES). The new account can only be entered once. Entrants and the new account they refer must both be over 18 years old, and New Zealand residents with New Zealand bank accounts.
HOW TO ENTER: The entrant must be an existing Rocket Mobile customer who refers a new account which activates a monthly Rocket Starter, Rocket, Rocket Plus or Rocket Max plan. Once the new account is activated, the entrant must fill out the form on the Rocket Mobile website during the promo period. If the new account transfers their number to Rocket Mobile within the promo period, that will give an extra entry to the draw. If the entrant refers more than one new account, they have another chance to win.
DATES: The promo period runs from 12am on 1 November 2025 to 11:59pm 30 November 2025. The new account must be activated and the entry form submitted within this period to be valid for the draw. The draw for the prizes will take place between 1 to 5 December 2025.
FRIEND REFERRAL CREDIT: The prize draw is in addition to the existing Friend Referral Credit offer, which gives $20 in account credit to the referrer and a separate $20 in account credit to the referee if they are eligible. Regular Refer a Friend T&Cs apply.
CASH PRIZE: There is one grand prize of $4,000NZD in cash to be won, plus an additional smaller prize of $400NZD in cash, each to be split between two people – the entrant and the new customer they refer (i.e. the winner will get $2,000 and the new account they refer will also get $2,000 separately). Verification of winners’ bank account details must be sent to Rocket Mobile prior to the transfer of the winnings. The verification document must show the name of the account and bank account number.
PRIZE DELIVERY: Prizes will be transferred to the winners’ New Zealand bank account only.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: The winners will be contacted using details provided. If a winner cannot be contacted within 5 days, Rocket Mobile reserves the right to redraw the prize.
THE PROMOTER: is MyRepublic Ltd (trading as Rocket Mobile), 3/49 Sainsbury Rd, St Lukes, Auckland, New Zealand.
NO CORRESPONDENCE: The Promoter’s decision regarding the winners is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
NOT REDEEMABLE: The prize is not transferable, exchangeable nor redeemable for anything other than cash.
TAX RESPONSIBILITY: The winner shall be solely responsible for any and all personal income tax, withholding tax, or other taxes that may arise from the receipt or use of the Prize. The Promoter shall not be liable for any such tax obligations, and it is the winner’s responsibility to comply with all applicable tax laws and reporting requirements.
INFORMATION: By entering the Competition, winners agree to have their names being published for the purpose of Marketing.
OWNERSHIP OF ENTRIES: Competition entries become the property of Rocket Mobile, which will keep the personal information it holds about entrants confidential and will not disclose it to third parties.
PRIVACY: Any personal information collected as part of this Promotion will be held by Rocket Mobile in accordance with its privacy policy.
NO LIABILITY: The Promoter and its associated agencies & companies shall not be liable in any way (including, without limitation, in negligence) for any loss or damage whatsoever suffered (including, without limitation, indirect or consequential loss) or for any loss or damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with promotion except any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter reserves the right to amend the Promotion and these terms and conditions. Rocket Mobile may cancel the Promotion at any time and without prior notice.
Refer a friend to Rocket Mobile on a monthly unlimited data plan and score $20 credit. Simply click on the button above, and enter your and your friend’s name, email and mobile number.
Once we’ve checked everything out in the background, we’ll put $20 credit into your account, do the same for your friend, and flick you an email when it’s done. It’s that easy.
On top of the usual Refer a Friend credit, if you have a valid claim within our birthday month (November 2025), we’ll put you in the draw to win a grand prize of $2k each ($2k for you, $2k for the friend you refer), as well as a smaller prize of $200 each ($200 for you, $200 for your friend).
If your friend also transfers their number to us within our birthday month, we’ll automatically give you an extra entry.

There’s no limit to how many referral credits you can apply for, as long as the new connection hasn’t already been granted a referral credit before. Just make sure they’ve activated their plan before you apply.
Anyone who signed up to a new Rocket Mobile connection on a pay upfront monthly plan, has activated it, and hasn’t already claimed a referral credit, can be referred.
You won’t be able to refer someone if they haven’t activated their plan yet, so give them a nudge if you’re waiting on that for your sweet, sweet referral credit.
Weekly unlimited and capped plans are unfortunately not eligible for this referral credit offer.

We usually frown on double dipping, and you can’t get free credit via this offer if you already got some via another promo on either account in the claim.
However, we’re happy to give you the referral bonus even if you’re also getting a discount from having 2+ eligible plans in your group.
We previously did not allow discount stacking, but for our 2nd birthday promotion we WILL allow claims for the referral credit even if the new connection signed up with a promotional price.
