Website Terms of Use

Your use of the Rocket Mobile Website (the “Site”), in any way, is governed by the Terms of Use set out below (“ToU”). The ToU may be amended by us from time to time and any such modification or amendment will be posted on our Website and become automatically effective upon you as from the date of posting. It is your responsibility to be aware of such changes, which will take effect when posted on our Website. The ToU apply to you whether you contract for Rocket Mobile services or not, and your continued access to or use of the Rocket Mobile Website shall be deemed your conclusive acceptance of the ToU, and any modified ToU. All references to Rocket Mobile “we”, “us” and “our”, are to MyRepublic Limited (doing business as Rocket Mobile).

Intellectual Property Rights

All information, materials and content (including designs, brand names, product names, software, text, and graphics) on the Rocket Mobile site are the copyright of Rocket Mobile or third parties. These intellectual property rights belong to Rocket Mobile or third parties. None of it may be copied, reproduced or downloaded without the express permission in writing of the content owner, whether Rocket Mobile or a third party. Rocket Mobile gives no permission for the use of any such information, material or content in any way whatsoever.

Your Activities and Conduct

You Are Responsible. You accept that you are responsible for any content that you post
or transmit on or through the Site.

You Agree to Comply with the Law. You agree to use the Site in a manner consistent
with all applicable laws and regulations

List of Inappropriate Conduct.By posting or transmitting on or through the Site, you
warrant and agree that content submitted by you will not:

  • violate any laws, regulatory requirements or codes applicable in New Zealand;
  • be defamatory, abusive, offensive, or otherwise create cause for an action;
  • misuse confidential information of a third party;
  • undermine the security or integrity of the Site, by introducing software viruses or
    any other computer code, files or programs designed to affect the functionality of
    any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;
  • cause, any nuisance, annoyance, or inconvenience,
    whether to Rocket Mobile customers or anyone else;
  • use any robot, spider, or other device or process to monitor our Web pages
    without the written permission of Rocket Mobile; or
  • interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site, or to impose
    an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on the servers serving the Site
● Rocket Mobile will Manage its Site to Avoid this Conduct. Rocket Mobile has the right, but not the obligation, in its sole discretion to monitor, refuse or remove any content available through the Site.

Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Website Information May Not be Correct. Information on the Rocket Mobile Website may be incomplete, incorrect or out-of-date. Rocket Mobile makes no guarantees whatsoever as to the Site’s operation, availability, functionality or otherwise.
No Liability for Website Inaccuracy. Rocket Mobile does not assume any legal liability or responsibility for the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any information, product or process disclosed on the Site. In no event shall Rocket Mobile be liable for any losses or damages whatsoever, arising out of the use of or inability to use the Site. The Site may contain hyperlinks to third party sites. These third party sites are beyond the control of Rocket Mobile and Rocket Mobile accepts no responsibility for their content. You assume total responsibility and risk for your use of the Site and any embedded hyperlinks. The Site and any software made available on the Site are provided on an “as is” basis.
Rocket Mobile Relies on Limitation of Liability. Different exclusions and limitations of liability will apply to the provision of any goods or services by Rocket Mobile, which will be set out in the terms and conditions relating to the provision of the specific good or service.
Recourse for Dissatisfaction. If you are dissatisfied with any portion of the Site, or with any of the related terms, your sole and exclusive remedy is to discontinue using the Site.

Posting Your Content on Rocket Mobile’s Site

You Must Provide Accurate Information. If any portion of the Site requires you to register or open an account, you must provide accurate and complete registration information. You are fully responsible for all use of your account and for any acts that may take place using your account.
Protect Your Password. You must not disclose to any person your password. You must not permit or authorize any person to use your login name or password for any purpose whatsoever.
We May Use Cookies. During your use of the Site, we may issue to and request from your computer blocks of data known as “cookies” to enable more convenient browsing when you revisit the Site.
Our Use of Your Content. By posting content on the Site or any of Rocket Mobile’s social media channels, you grant to Rocket Mobile a worldwide, non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use and distribute such content for any purpose in any and all media, and you hereby waive all so-called moral rights you may have in the content. You agree that you shall have no recourse against Rocket Mobile for any alleged or actual infringement or misappropriation of any proprietary right in your communications to us.
Our Use of Your Feedback. Except for any personal, individually identifying data which we have agreed to keep confidential, any feedback, data, comments, suggestions, ideas or the like that you send to us via the Site or via email or otherwise, will be treated as being non-confidential and non-proprietary.

Termination

Rocket Mobile may suspend or delete your account or any content, if it believes there has been a breach of these ToU or any other of its terms or codes of conduct. Rocket Mobile may do so for any reason, at its sole discretion, with or without notice.

Your Privacy

We may collect information when you access the Site which includes anonymous web statistics collected as you browse the Site. Also, you may provide us personal information you knowingly provide us, which we may later use to follow up with you. The Site is operated in accordance with Rocket Mobile’s Privacy Policy.

Your Liability

You agree to indemnify and hold Rocket Mobile and each of its directors, officers, and employees, harmless from and against any loss, liability, claim, demand, damages, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees arising out of or in connection with any content posted by you or through your account, your use of the Site, or any breach of these ToU, or any other of its terms or codes of conduct.

Miscellaneous

No Waiver. Rocket Mobile’s failure to insist upon or enforce strict performance of any provision of these ToU shall not be construed as a waiver of any provision or right
Severability.  If any part of these ToU is held to be unenforceable, the unenforceable part shall be given effect to the greatest extent possible and the remainder will remain in full force and effect.
Governing Law.  These ToU shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand.

Rocket Mobile Overview

Your Rocket Mobile plan is bundled with value including unlimited data at the speed you need, plus unlimited talk and text to NZ and Aus. There are also optional extras based on how you want to connect which are outlined here:

Voicemail Calls to voicemail are FREE Go for gold. And with unlimited talk and text on our plans, you can carry on connecting without worry.
MMS PXT 10 free MMS/PXT per month to NZ mobiles then no more can be sent. If you are a serial PXTer you are better to send your messages via a messaging app like WhatsApp or Messenger instead, using your unlimited data.
International calls & texts $10 for 250 calling minutes and 50 SMS messages to use within 30 days with our International Add-on You can also use an app like WhatsApp or Messenger to contact friends overseas while connected to WiFi or mobile data. If you're on Pay Monthly, if you call or SMS overseas outside of the International Add-on, you'll be charged per minute or per SMS at rates specific to that location.
Roaming For just $9 a day you can use your NZ non-stop data, minutes and SMS in our Daily Roaming destinations. Our Daily Roaming Add-on is a pretty choice option. Otherwise you can stay connected via WiFi or a local SIM when you're travelling.
Premium rate numbers Calls/SMS messages to premium rate numbers (e.g. reply "yes" messages that are subject to additional charges) aren't available on our Pay Upfront plans. To maintain our everyday low prices and remove bill surprises, our Pay Upfront plans don’t allow premium SMS or calls. That might mean for example that you need to call your dentist to confirm that appointment instead of replying by SMS

  • Unlimited talk and TXTs are for standard person-to-person calls to standard NZ and Aus numbers.
